Relax and Unwind at Our Peaceful Country Resort
We are a vacation resort with 7 cabins 4 motel rooms. Our cabins feature fully stocked kitchenettes, 2 bedrooms and all are newly remodeled with rustic interiors. Our motel rooms feature microwaves, refrigerators, and coffee makers, all newly painted. We are a full service resort and our goal is to make your next stay here comfortable and enjoyable. We are located 2 miles from beautiful Benzonia, Michigan on Dam Road next to The Homestead Dam. There's no traffic noises like other resorts, it is peaceful and quiet great for a relaxing vacation.

Jack and Arlene Rawls along with their son Jim purchased the resort in September 2010 formerly known as the Homestead Resort for the past 50 years. We renamed the resort and have begun to remodel and update all services and facilities here for our guests added comfort. Our ideal is to give the very best service at affordable prices with satisfied customers who come back for years of fun and relaxation.
We have remodeled cabins 1-4, giving them a much needed facelift for our customers comfort. For our guests comfort we are remodeling cabins 5, 6, & 7 this winter 2011/12 and shall have them opened March 1 in time for our fishing contest. We have expanded the flower gardens and will continue to do so until they are completed ending up with a waterfall and a private sitting area to enjoy. We have a children's area we are in the final stages of putting together for the young ones to come and slide or play on the swing set.
Some of the best fishing in Michigan is right here. King Salmon & Coho in the fall, then Steelheads during the winter and spring, followed by Brown trout and Rainbow trout. Join our Steelhead competition from March 1 - April 30 every year. 1st prize is always 2 nights free stay here, with other prizes offered for our guests only. You could even get your picture on our website!
We are just a short drive about 30 minutes to Sleeping Bear Dunes voted by Good Morning America to be the most beautiful place in America. Lots of vactioner's stay here and go down the most scenic highway in MI M-22 to get to Sleeping Bear Dunes. It makes a great day trip and coming back here is so peaceful and quiet it makes relaxing a joy.
We have several golf courses here as well, the area is surrounded by golfing, hiking, biking, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, ice fishing, hunting or just go for a shopping trip to explore the area, or join in on one of the many celebrations the area has to enjoy. We would love the opportunity to show you some good old fashioned hospitality that other places never offer and combined with the comfort of our cabins it's a sure winner for a good time with lots of memories that will last a lifetime.
