Policies and Prices
General:
We accept: Master Card, Visa, Discover, and Personal Checks & Cash, nothing else. We no longer accept American Express.
Payment is expected upon arrival. No keys will be given out without payment for the unit rented. We understand you may have others in your cabin that arrive ahead of the person booking, but the payment for the unit is due upon arrival not at the end of the stay.
We offer discounts to Veterans of 10% always (thank you for your service to America), and for booking for a week, which is a six (6) day period except during fishing seasons. We may have discount specials during certain months, please ask if you qualify for one. Everyone may receive only one discount per stay if it is offered. Our weekends are Friday and Saturday, we do not include Sunday as a weekend rate.
There shall be a key deposit added to your bill of $10.00; when the keys are dropped off at the office at the end of your stay you may have the deposit back. This is a necessary step due to the amount of keys that are not returned at the end of the stay and are never given back.
We do have gift certificates available for any amount you wish. They are valid for two years (2) for use at the discretion of the recipient; provided we are not already booked for that period. You must have the certificate number when booking the unit and present it at the office at the time of check-in, or it is not valid. This is a new service for our guests that we are very excited about having them for your convenience.
Any prize for a free room must be booked within 90 days of the contest end; it is valid up to one year, and can be used with any other booking you make or transferred to another person for their stay. Any other prizes must be claimed by certificate within 90 days unless other arrangements are made with the business who donated the prize. There is no cash redemption amount for winning any prize.
There is no smoking in any cabin or motel room. If you are caught smoking in a cabin or motel room you will be warned; if it continues you will be asked to leave and not return.
No medical marijuana is allowed here either, this is a family oriented resort and we will not have anyone doing illicit drugs here. If caught smoking marijuana you will be immediately evicted there are no exceptions. We view this as a damage caused on purpose.
In all cabins we allow up to 3 adults and charge $25 for a fourth person per day, no cabin will be allowed to have more than 4 adults staying at any time. We do not provide a bed for a fourth person, but that person may sleep on a cot or airbed they bring for such a purpose if no bed is available in that unit. Children under the age of 18 of course do not count, and there will be no further charge for them provided they are family members.
The resort does not provide a roll away or any form of a portable bed. When booking please state how many are in your party so we may put you into the right cabin provided it is available, and if you are bringing any pets.
There is free WiFi here your password is on your receipt at the bottom right, if you have any questions please ask the office.
For large groups: if you are in need of any more dishes, glasses, please ask the office, we do have spares you may use for your dinners together instead of mixing of dishes from different cabins. We also have crock pots available to anyone. Please ask office we are happy to accommodate you.
The grills are all charcoal located outside your building. Most are chained down so they are not removed. Every cabin should have a picnic table, if you do not, please ask the office and we’ll be happy to get you one or more for your convenience. Motel rooms have a picnic table at each end of the unit, but if you require more just ask.
Local friends or family are allowed of course to visit, we do not mind others coming to your cabin, and it is your rental for the time you pay for, however they are not allowed to spend the night without prior knowledge and consent of the resort. Please just let us know so we are not confused as to how many are spending the night in the cabins.
We are a peace loving resort; and do not mind people who wish to enjoy themselves by the fire in the pavilion or at their cabins, we do ask that at 10pm the noise level goes down, and by 11pm you are quiet. This provides a safe and happy resort which most understand we do have others who wish to sleep as well.
The speed limit here is 5mph; please do not speed around or near the cabins or motel units we have pets and guests. Please keep your speed controlled.
Anyone may enjoy any activity we have as long as it is not infringing upon another guests enjoyment. Everyone here is welcome to use any of the equipment or any space provided for the guests. We love to have fun.
Any damages that occur should be reported to the Office, if however you do not wish to do so, there will be an added charge upon your credit card with a letter following to you explaining the extra charges for the damages and you will be asked not to return. We do hope you report any damages so we may take care of them immediately, we know things happen by accident, but when you say nothing we assume you are a destructive person and we shall not have anyone harming our furnishings on purpose.
Pet Policy
*If you are allergic to pet dander please tell the us when booking*
We love pets and have several ourselves. Pets are welcome here, but with the following conditions:
Small dogs less than 15lbs are charged $15.00 for the stay. Dogs 15-30lbs are allowed but will be charged $25.00 we shall not allow any dog over 30lbs. No more than two pets per cabin are allowed. Very large dogs over 30lbs have caused too much damage and the waste is not being cleaned by the owners so they are no longer welcomed here we are sorry for the inconvenience.
We have a limited amount of cabins and motel rooms for pets. You must tell us you have a pet when you book your room. Since we have a limited space available for pets and you may be booked into a cabin or motel room set aside for those who are allergic. If you do not register your pet with us during your registration and just show up with a dog you will be asked to leave. This will provide a safe atmosphere for any guest who is allergic while giving the pet owner a place for the pet they wish to bring.
Any pet left in a cabin must be in a cage, or take your animal with you while you are not in the cabin you rented. Our housekeepers must have access to the unit at all times so we may clean and refresh towels on a daily basis. Any animal left loose in the unit, the unit will not be attended to and the owner shall be warned to keep the pet in a cage while gone to minimize accidents from pets or a danger to our housekeepers; or take the animal with you. This is your pet please keep control while staying here.
Any pet shall remain leashed while around the cabins and motel units. We do provide trails for allowing your pet to roam freely which are in the woods. While enjoying your stay here you are most welcome to use the trails for nature walks with your pet so they may roam.
While relaxing around the open pavilion area you are welcome to bring your pet provided it is leashed around any other guests. If you are by yourselves you may allow the animal limited access to roam if you are in control of said animal at all times. No animal is allowed to run loose at all with the exception of our dogs and cats; this is for liability purposes only.
Cats are welcome as well, if the animal is declawed and neutered; the litter box is cleaned daily by the owner. Again the animal must be caged while you are gone and leashed as any dog would be in areas of guests unless they are held. You must register the animal at the office during registration or you will be asked to leave. We have even fewer spaces for cats than dogs we must put you into the motel room that is suited for the animal. The charge for a cat per visit is $10.00
Canoes and Kayaks
Our canoes and kayaks are free for our guests only. We do charge $10.00 for taking you up river each trip. Life jackets are provided and are mandatory while you enjoy your trip down river. We have shorter or longer trips available they are approximate times for the trip and depends on your ability to manage the canoe or kayak. Please book all trips through the office or staff to ensure we are not busy with others. Our river is a gentle flowing river with some obstacles but it is one of the most beautiful rivers in the world and very quiet and serene with little to no other traffic on it. Our equipment is available from May to October. We have 3 canoes and 3 kayaks for your pleasure. You are welcome to beach at any shallow spot of your choice and picnic or just sit and enjoy the quiet. We do watch out for you, when coming down river if you are late by more than a 1/2 hr period we'll come and look for you to make sure you are not in trouble. It is fine to linger to have fun, we don't mind it a bit, just let us know that is your intention or if your level of experience is high, we won't worry about you as much being late.
When finished and beached at the boat site at the dam, please pull the vessel upon the shore and let us know so we can pick you up and bring everyone back here with our 4 wheeler and trailer. You don't have to pull any equipment up to the resort when done. We're happy to assist you.
Snowmobiles
We provide a ramp of snow for unloading your machine. You may keep your machine at your cabin or park in the driveway. The speed limit at the resort is 5mph. Please be careful of others and our pets as they must roam during the winter months.
We do have maps of the trails and are only 1mile from the main trail. We want your experience to be fun. If you breakdown you may call us and if we can we’ll help you. We must have your exact location to find you so please keep track of where you are. Of course we may be out enjoying the snow ourselves and may not be available. At this time we do not rent snowmobiles.
Camping - RV
We do not have camping or any facilities for RV's at this time. It is a highly expensive venture to undertake by moving them as they are not allowed near the river and we shall probably never have it again. We are working to put in some RV units but we have to get approval from many different MI departments and this takes time and money. We hope to have a few units in and working within a couple years. Please ask for details. Thank you for your understanding.
